Learn the Best Ethical Practice For Trauma-Informed Care

Due to the greater incidence of trauma in our society, there has been a national emphasis on helping professionals to be educated on the impact of trauma and key manifestations. Social Workers represent the majority of providers who are working with trauma on a daily basis. The course will equip these social workers to have more knowledge and skill in effectively responding to those who have experienced trauma.

After taking this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify ethical principles related to best practice in the arena of trauma;
  • Explore trauma in its various forms and develop a framework for understanding manifestations of trauma;
  • Define trauma informed practice;
  • Identify trauma informed model and develop practical guidelines for creating and promoting ethical trauma informed practice across a variety of settings
